Kevin Brock

Hi I'm Kevin Brock and I am 36 years old, here is a little bit about me.

I am a Firefighter for the Ministry of Defence Fire and Rescue Service and I have been with them for 11 years.
I live in Banbury, Oxfordshire with my partner Karen and two children, Jade and Leo. We also have a chocolate lab called Winston.

I completed my first Triathlon in April 2000 and suffered from the start through to the finish, I don't mind saying it was horrible. This really pushed me to strive to achieve my dream of completing an Ironman (3.8k swim, 180k bike and 42.2km run).

After a serious illness at the end of 2003, I took the decision to enter the half Ironman UK in 2004 (1.9k swim 90k bike 20k run). This was my way of proving to myself that the illness did not beat me and I completed this race, but once again I turned my attention to Ironman.
I achieved one of my dreams in 2006, when I finished Lanzarote Ironman; billed as the "Hardest Ironman in the World" it was amazing, it really was a life changing experience.

Since then, I have complete Ironman Lanzarote twice more in 2007 and 2008.
I was selected to represent Team GB at the long course world championships in Holland, but had to withdraw due to an injury 1 month before, I was gutted.
During this time I have trained as a British Triathlon Level 2 Coach and received a diploma in Life & Wellness coaching.

So after three years of racing Lanzarote, I have decided to put myself to the test again, just to see how fast I can go. I have set my sights on Challenge Barcelona 2011 purely to see if I can break the magic 10hrs. So Please Follow me on my journey in Life and Training.
