May 10th Stratford Sprint Tri
1st race of the season, and hello to an old friend, having dropped this race to make way for Ironman Lanzarote, I was looking forward to this "Little" sprint, well the largest pool based Triathlon in the UK. At the final count there was 1300 people starting in 15 second intervals.
400 meter swim 6:33
Swim went very well, overtook person in front then had clear water for the rest of the swim
Bike 41:49min
Strong effort on the bike wanted to relax heart rate as I was sitting on 164bpm but felt comfortable so held it.
Run 21:42mins
Set off at vomit inducing pace, but after a few minutes settled in to a nice tempo, felt tired towards the end but kept good pace.
Overall pleased with my time, 10th in my Age Group, 31st overall.
